6 Online Podcast Communities to Join

Podcast communities

Podcasting can be a lonely and tricky business. Sometimes you’ll just want to talk to someone else that understands your situation or need a place to go to ask for help with a technical question. Fortunately there are plenty of communities online that will have your back and give you a hand if you need it, or lend an ear when you just want to rant and rave about your favourite new podcast. Here are five communities online to check out for when you want to virtually hang out with your fellow podcasters.

Podcasters’ Support Group

Set up by Helen Zaltzman, host of The Allusionist, this Facebook group is full of podcasters exchanging tips and advice in between an end-of-week, rather Englishly titled, Weekend Wankfest designated for self-promotion. The group is also full of individuals keen to lend a hand to any podcaster in need of help.

#PodernFamily and #PodcastMafia

These two hashtags are a great way to keep up with independent podcasters on Twitter. From promoting recent episodes to being used as a flag for help, both are well followed and you’re bound to interact with likeminded podcasters if you use either, or both, of them. ## ]
